I have looked over the seven horse race and found a horse that I like. The general consensus is leading towards Candlestick Park, who is 3-1 in the morning line. Candlestick Park continues his descent in class. My main concern here is the fact that he’s showing little in 6 furlong races. Today’s, one mile race might be too much. My pick for race one at Emerald Downs is Don’twritemeoff. He is listed at 5-1 on the morning line and might hold steady at the number come post time. I like the fact that this horse has run at this distance a few times before. His performances have been so-so, but this field may be just what he needs. He has the rail today and I expect him to get off to a good start and set the pace. This entire field is full of horses that are coming up empty in shorter races. He’s got the speed and has at least the same amount of stamina as any of the other horses. I think he can hang on and win. Don’twritemeoff has blinkers off this race. He’s a four year old gelding. There are two other four year olds, Teyos Tequilla and A Maximum Buzz. The rest of the field are three year olds. One Horse: Don’twritemeoff 3 Responses to “Emerald Downs Race One”Leave a Reply |

Nice call ! I am a mutuel teller at EMD and I also liked this horse. It seemed the public stayed with Candlestick Park. I really like your site and plan on checking in often.
Good luck,
Lee
