Golden Gate Fields Race Four

Online Horse Betting

The fourth race at Golden Gate Fields is a 1 1/16 mile $10,000 N3L claimer. All horses in this field are three years old and upward and have never won more than two races. There are seven horses in today’s field. The morning line favorite is Bright Predicition. He’s a three-year-old gelding in the six spot. At 5-2, Collaberation is the second favorite in this race. He’s a four-year-old gelding in the first position.

#1 Collaberation: His last race was two weeks ago at this track. His jockey will be Alvarado F T again. I’m not big on this horse. He seems to have trouble going the distance. He weakened quite a few times.

#2 Peter’s Posada: He’s 10-1 on the morning line and for good reason. He’s never won a race and has waffled around. He showed some brief potential at the allowance level last year, but has dropped since. His best finish of late was a place finish in a $3,200 claimer on August 5.

#3 Oregon Merlot: This could be a surprise horse today. He’s a four-year-old colt that’s 12-1 on the morning line. He’s placed in the money in 7 of his 10 races and his last 3. He was running at he allowance level ($34,000+) and is down here to perhaps get some confidence back. He’s being ridden by a new jockey—for him—today—Rodriguez M.

#4 Such a Nutcase: He’s got a new trainer—two races ago. However, that’s not transpired into better performances yet. Such a Nutcase is 5-1 on the morning line and really needs to get an early lead to have a shot.

#5 Wild Nekia: 4-1 on the morning line. This three-year-old gelding last raced on August 28 at this track. He got an early lead and kept it up. Down the stretch he gave up some ground and placed. This looked to be the right level for this horse and he should have a solid shot at finishing in the money today.

#6 Bright Prediction: At 2-1 on the morning line this three-year-old gelding is the favorite. On July 13, he was claimed for $6,500 and looks to be going the right way. His last race was on August 21. It was a $10,500 claimer and he won. Bright Prediction looked good. He dueled early and drove it home for the win.

#7 Danzonette: 8-1 on the morning line. He’s probably going to get drowned out in this field. He’s a bit of a closer and could be sitting just off the pace if the planets align right, but I doubt it. He did win his last race–$10,500 claiming race—on August 21 though. Still, I think this field is too strong for him.
