    Preakness Stakes 132

The 132nd running of the Preakness Stakes, at Pimlico Race Course, is just around the corner. The race goes off on May 19, 2007.

All eyes will be on Street Sense and jockey Calvin Borel who pulled off an amazing victory in the 2007 Kentucky Derby.

Coming around the turn, Street Sense was in next to last place. Borel made some good moves down the stretch to bring home the win.

Your obvious favorite for the Preakness Stakes is Street Sense. While the horse racing world is hoping—yet again—that this might be the year for a Triple Crown winner, horse racing bettors may need to look elsewhere for profits.

Street Sense was at 4-1 to win, which isn’t bad considering the ability level. I suspect that this number will come down a little. Some racebooks are offering horse racing futures on the Preakness Stakes. At one, you can get +135 if you bet that Street Sense will win the Preakness States.

Another interesting wager is the Triple Crown future. Will Street Sense win the Triple Crown? If you think so, you can get +350 by betting it now. If not, the odds at -600 aren’t that bad.

Either way, the Preakness Stakes on May 19 are going to be electric. No matter where Street Sense is in the field, we all will know about the amazing closing possibility of Street Sense.
