    Barbaro

Barbaro is going to undergo surgery today (Sunday). He has two fractures and it’s possible that Barbaro won’t make it. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Barbaro this day. We ask everyone to at least think positive thoughts and wish him well. Barbaro is finished as a thoroughbred racer, but let’s hope he at least gets to live longer.

    Make it through Barbaro!

Hey to you “Barbaro”! I wish horses could talk, because then we would know what they are thinking. Barbaro is such a beautiful horse. Everytime I read our local newspaper, and see a picture and story of Barbaro, I cry !! He has really touched my heart. I live in South Carolina. I wish I could be there to visit and take care of Barbaro. He just amazes me. Thank God he is recovering so well. May God continue to heal his leg and give him strength, and also with the vet. doctor and his owners. I wish you all the best and a quick recovery. Love you “Barbaro!

    5. Wise Bettor Says:

While his racing days are over, he has a nice life ahead of him.

    6. T-Canuck Says:

Barbaro has many fans throughout Canada. His bloodline includes great Canadian bred champions. This horse is a fighter and possesses the heart of a lion. He will hopefully sire superb athletes that will carry on his shortened legacy.

    7. Debra Says:

My prayers and best wishes are with you Barbaro every single day. We can only hope that with the support and expertise of your owner(s) and physicians you will survive this tragic event. Nothing more beautiful than nature at it’s best….and that is what you are.

    8. Kathy Says:

I hope and pray for Barbaro to recover and be pain free. However, I think the bigger picture requires us to question whether asking Barbaro or any other horse to compete in such a grueling attempt as the Triple Crown races, at such a tender and bone-vulnerable age, is truly humane.

    9. Donna Says:

My prayers are with Barbaro and for his recovery without pain. No words can express the compassion I feel for the owners who are having him taken care of instead of “put down.” These are true animal lovers and will not worry about the expense to properly care for him. I will keep praying and watching for updates on him and hope and pray they are good ones. Thank you for being such caring people. I had 2 Tennessee Walkers in the 70’s and I know how you must feel about Barbaro as I loved my horses. God Bless You.

      To The Owners Of Barbaro:

Today must be a very sad day for you. As you have tried to do all that you could to save such a beautiful animal that you loved so dearly. May God bless and keep you during such a difficult time. And may Barbaro now rest in peace with no more pain and discomfort. God Bless, for he knows best. Thanks for letting go after doing all that you could do.

    15. Diane Johnson Says:

To The Owners - what a fabulous horse Barbaro was! My husband and I both cried when we watched the news last night of the fight was over. Just a few days ago, he looked so bright and alert - his death was indeed a shock. Barbaro’s memory will also be with us. Diane
