Home » Los Alamitos Race TwoMay 26, 2006Los Alamitos Race TwoFriday, May 26, 2006 Race two at Los Alamitos is a 400 yard 5000 claiming race for three year olds and upward. The one horse, Fits the Bill, was scratched in this race. The field is now down to six horses. All horses are four years old with the exception of Prrr D Terrific, who’s 6 years old, and Specialization, who’s 8 years old. The favorites are Ottabe a Fast Lane, Specialization and Under the Radar. The horse I really like in this race, Specialization, will most likely go off as the favorite. Hopefully, he will go off at 2-1, but even money is possible. Specialization is 8 years old and being ridden by Bautista. Bautista has ridden him once before—back on March 6th. In that 400 yard race, Bautista guided Specialization to a wire to wire victory. He held off Under the Radar in that race as well—Under the Radar finished second. Specialization has the speed and ability to get the job done. His last race was just under two weeks ago—a 4000 claimer. He got out of the gate slow in the 350 yard race, but managed to close from 5th to a show finish. If he comes out of the gate clean, look out. Specialization did not get out of the gate cleanly. He ended up with a Show finish and paid $2.10.
