Eclipse Stakes

Tomorrow, the Eclipse Stakes at Woodbine go off. It’s the 6th race. Post time will be at 3:30 pm local time (Toronto, Ontario).

The field of seven will gallop on dirt over 1 1/16 miles. This stakes race is for 4 year olds and up. The purse is $150,000 and it’s a Grade III race.

The field consists of:

#3 True Metropolitan
#4 Jade’s Revenge
#5 Royal Challenger
#6 Palladio
#7 Judiths Wild Rush

Jade’s Revenge (#4) is the favorite. Jockey Kent J. Desormeaux will try to go wire to wire. Jade’s Revenge is listed at 5/2 on the morning line.

Shillelagh Slew, 3/1 on the morning line, is expected to challenge and True Metropolitan, 4/1 on the morning line, should be right there.

The two oldest horses, 6, are local horse Just Rushing and Judiths Wild Rush from Kentucky.
